The 112th Flensburger Fördewoche ended up being very successful for Elvstrøm Sails in the X/79 class.
Here, “our” Arne Feldmann and the crew on Exit Light just won the German Open on the weekend. The crew on Exit Light, Oomke Møller, Arne Feldmann and Katrin Møller, took five race wins out of eight on their way to the title in Flensburg.
- We set out in some really tricky conditions on Friday, but the weather got better over the weekend. Really good racing, and it was great to see our work with Elvstrøm Sails paying off in this way. We have made a completely new wardrobe for Exit Light in a cooperation between Elvstrøm Sails Denmark and Germany, including a new design and some adjustments that turned out to work really well, Arne says.
The X/79 class competition has been a long-lasting part of the event in Flensburg, and Arne Feldmann has actually won it once before, all the way back in 1992. But this event was the very first time the crew on Exit Light sailed together - and what a way to kick off!
