Week 32 was an excellent week for Elvstrøm Sails where a number of spectacular regattas were on.

Double Olympic Gold Medalist and Sales Director from Elvstrøm Sails Jesper Bank was on board the German First 40 Westwind aiming for Gold at the ORCi European Championship in Hankö/Norway. Westwind is a long time customer at Elvstrøm Sails and is powered by a set of our top-of-the-line EPEX laminate sails.

But it was another Elvstrøm costumer that stole the spotlight. Westwind ended fourth and Swedish Lena Having proved more solid with her IMX 40 Gertrud and claimed the silver medals after an impressive series of three firsts, two seconds, one third and one fifth. A disqualification in the third race became expensive for the Swedes that had to let go of Silva Hispaniola who made no mistakes and sailed home the Gold.  At Elvstrøm Sails we are proud to having provided sails for number 2, 3 and 4 since also the Norwegian IMX 40 Xantippe claimed the Bronze medals. Also powered by EPEX.

In Denmark 20 boats were gathered at the Nationals of the Scankap 99 including the reigning Champion Søren Hansen from Elvstrøm Sails. He must have done some great talking with the class since 16 of 20 boats in the 2011 regatta had the red crown in their sails. And both number 1, 2, 3 and 4 were completely or partly powered by Elvstrøm Sails.

In Aarhus Morten Ulrikkeholm took a spectacular win in the Big Boat Race with six firsts in a row! Read that story (in Danish) by clicking here, or go to Racing News.
