At Elvstrøm Sails we are pleased to supply the two sailing explorers with our sails, since it's a unique opportunity to test our sails in extreme conditions. In the artic summer some of the challenges for the sails will be the unusually large amount of light and the freezing temperatures. Factors that can both have an impact on the sails and their conditions and that we need to know more about.

In theese pages we'll follow Birgitta and Eric and their journey. They are both most experienced sailors and their upcoming adventure won't be their first encounter with the arctic ocean. In 2005 they visited the Svalbard islands.
